Mi lehet a háttérben? (Van valami a háttérben?)

Robert Gilpin a Nemzetközi Gazdasági Rend Értelmezése című könyvében olvasottak alap-ján, valamint a könyv Németországgal foglalkozó részben talán nem valósan követhető nyomon az Egyesült Államok és Németország az elmúlt 100 évben tanúsított, pénzügyi, gazdasági és politikai viselkedése. Ugyan igazán átfogó leírás, de a mélyebb szemlélődés eredményként érdemes más szemszögből megvizsgálni a kérdéskört. A könyvben többször említett “trösztellenesség” és a mindent előtérbe helyező szabadpiaci verseny nem kímélte saját társadalmunkat vagy a más országokhoz, legyen az szövetséges vagy az ellenérdekelt félhez fűződő viszonyukat (Gilpin, 2004). A tankönyvekben felhasznált kötelező irodalom számos alkalommal hangsúlyozza, hogy a gazdaságpolitika és a közgazdaságtan egymást kiegészítő, egymástól elválaszthatatlan szerves társadalomtudományi egység, csak együtt értelmezhető. Tanulmányunk számos példán és történelmi tényen keresztül szeretné bemu-tatni, hogy az elmélet és számos szerző által gondolati síkon megfogalmazott tételek sok-szor nagyon messze állhatnak a valóságtól. Gilpin Professzor Úr kitűnő könyvét élvezet volt olvasni, sajnálatos módon már nem tudunk vitába szállni a szerzővel, mivel Robert Gilpin 2018 nyarán elhunyt.

Based on the contents of Robert Gilpin’s Global Political Economy: Understanding the In-ternational Economic Order, and specifically on the part about Germany, the financial, eco-nomic and political conduct of the United States and Germany in the past 100 years may perhaps not be actually traced. Although the description is truly comprehensive, the issue is worth examining from a different point of view. The "antitrust" conduct mentioned in the book on several occasions, as well as the free market competition that puts everything first did not spare their own societies or their relations with other countries - whether allies or parties with different interests (Gilpin, 2004). The literature used in the textbooks frequently emphasizes that political economy and economics form an inseparable unit of social scien-ce, and can only be interpreted together. The study also intends to present - through a number of examples and historical facts - that the theory and the theses formulated by many authors theoretically may be very far from reality. We really enjoyed reading the excellent book of Professor Gilpin, and regrettably we can no longer have arguments with the author, since Robert Gilpin died in 2018 summer.
